Textiles

“Imagine a sunlit room packed tightly with looms, woven fabric completed and in process, yarn, ribbons, and lace--all neatly organized. Add a devoted and inspiring occupant who asks you to sit for a trial shuttle experiment. You take home your efforts and relive that delightful dance with the thread."

”My son began taking piano lessons with Tammy nearly 4 years ago, at age 6. While other teachers I spoke with told me he was too young, or wouldn’t teach him because we had a keyboard instead of a piano — Tammy welcomed him warmly. She is kind, patient, flexible, and willing to meet each child where they are, adapting to skill level, attention span, and musical preferences. She is unfailingly supportive, and works to get the best out of her students in a very positive way. My son has learned not only to play and read music, but also to genuinely love the instrument and the process of learning new songs."

"We were introduced to Tammy Renner when my adult children were in elementary school. Trained as a teacher myself, I was hugely impressed by the way Tammy’s creative gifts, gentle spirit and knowledge worked so well in her classroom or working with students individually, even with challenging children. Both of my daughters were diagnosed with dyslexia. Tammy worked wonders with them, building self esteem and helping the girls discover the ways that they worked best. I would highly recommend her to parents who are navigating their way through the challenge and joys of home schooling. Her keen insight, understanding of children’s developmental needs and intuitive guidance have been a help to me again and again!"
